Yvonne Graham came up with the idea for "A Woman's No Nonsense Guide to Fly Fishing Favorite Waters" and then she contacted and cajoled the all-star-ladies-anglers and compiled and edited the book. She is serving her third term as President of the International Women Fly Fishers. As co-director of the National Coalition of Marine Conservation -- West Coast, she helped the effort to ban drift gill nets off California. Yvonne and her husband established the Friends of Fishing Foundation that introduces under-privileged children to sportfishing. The two also own and operate Baja on the Fly, one of the largest fly-fishing guide services in Baja. She also was recently named as a Representative for the International Gamefish Association. |

There's been fishing, too. Yvonne was the first woman to catch a striped marlin on both 8 and 12 lb. test lines. She is a three-time IGFA world record holder and twice received the coveted 10-1 Award. She was Angler of the Year at Southwestern Yacht Club, and won the Ultra Light Tackle Award from The Marlin Club of San Diego, among other honors. Yvonne and husband Gary (author of Gary Graham's No Nonsense Guide To Fly Fishing Southern Baja) live part time in Escondido and most of the time in East Cape, Baja. |
