Thread: Monofilament or flat-waxed nylon

Weighting: None

Tail: Pearl Flashabou

Body: White Bucktail

Underwing: Natural Grizzly Saddle Hackle

Overwing:         Pearl Saltwater Flashabou

Head: Softex

Eyes: 3 D Molded Eyes Red, silver or green

Other:

bulletDouble four strands of pearl flashabou and tie onto the top of the shank of the hook
bulletAdd one saddle hackle on each side of the hook
bulletTurn hook upside down and add bucktail using the base of the bucktail the part that has hollow hairs. Cinch down the bucktail so it flares out almost 90 degrees from the hook.
bulletRepeat process on the top of the shank of the hook
bulletAdd olive, gray, black or chartreuse bucktail in the same fashion for the back.
bulletTie in four strands of pearl flashabou doubled on each side of the body.
bulletAdd 3 D Molded Eyes Red and finish the head with Softex
bulletWhen the fly is wet the bucktail will lay down forming the same deep body shape as a sardinia or flat iron herring.
