| Estero Sampler Only a short three-hour drive from Loreto, Lopez Mateos is reminiscent of Cabo thirty years ago. Located at the northern end of Magdalena Bay, this dusty village offers a glimpse into the Mexico of the past. Magdalena Bay is as large as San Francisco Bay, with one hundred and thirty two miles of shoreline and countless miles of mangrove lined esteros. This is one of the last frontiers in Baja where snook, broomtail grouper, sierra, pargo, several species of corvina, pompano and jacks all can be found, eager to take that well presented fly. The Estero fishing is done on comfortable Mexican pangas with knowledgeable local pangueros who can take you to spots where the fish have never seen a fly! Accompanied by one of Baja on the Fly's experienced flyfishing guides, this will be one of your most memorable trips to Baja. FOUR DAYS OF ESTERO FISHING February 28 - March 5, and March 5 -
